Hi! I hope everyone is having a great and productive week!

Here’s my Thankful List for this week:

  • I am thankful I got to see my sister and go to the Carolina Cup. It was so much fun!
  • I am thankful I got back to school safely after my car stopped in the beginning of the week! It’s an older car but I love it!
  • I am thankful for coconut flavored coffee, at first I thought it sounded gross but now I am obsessed.
  • I am thankful for people who are inspiring and yet will have no idea the impact they have had on others by simply existing.
  • I am thankful for my health and my family’s health.

That’s whats on my list this week, what’s on your list?

Happy Friday!

Happy Thankful Thursday!

If we could see the miracle of a single flower clearly, our whole life would change.

Find joy in the everyday! Take 10 minutes out of your day to just appreciate the good things that have come your way! It could be as simple a good cup of coffee or as special as a new job offer! Take time to appreciate your daily joy!

Happy Thankful Thursday! I hope today finds you in a good mood!

For my list this week I am thankful for:

  • All the support I get from my family, friends, and sisters. It means so much to me to know that they believe in me and have my back. So blessed.
  • To have gotten all my tests for this week out of the way.
  • That it is becoming fall!
  • For visitors that are coming into town this weekend!

Whats on your Thankful List this week?

After an interview, a class with a professor, receiving a gift, or any other event that would require a thank you it is ALWAYS appropriate to write a thank you note. With that being said I think a handwritten thank you note leaves a much bigger impression than an email thank you note. This is because it takes time to hand write a note, especially in modernity where everyone leads such busy lives. Recieving a hand written note shows the person you took time out of your day to show your appreciation (because there isn’t an app on the iPhone or Blackberry for this.). I can guarantee that this will make a huge impression and I think is a crucial step after a big interview.

Basically, the bottom line is: You can teach a Chimp to write an email thank you. Take time out of your day to hand write a thank you note, it will leave a lasting impression and truly make the recipient feel special.

It occurred to me then that it was in times of struggle that I found the best parts of myself — courage, loyalty, an unexpected peace — and I always discovered what I needed to break through and go on.
